‘Photography is communicating with the unconsciousness. To frame undefined feelings. To create fiction in reality’.

I use photography to explore my (inner) world. To let the unconscious speak. My high contrast black and white and dark poetic images become a way to interpret life itself. To reveal what it can be.

I work quite some time on my projects. Using traditional black and white film is an important part of that process. There are often months between exposing and developing the film. I print the photographs and look for what they have in common. I repeat this process until I find what it is I am looking for.

In addition to photography, I recently started to experiment with charcoal. Black spots, alternating with light areas. A raging sea of natural materials. Furthermore I am discovering the possibilities of sound and video.
